Sacred Retreat was established in 2007 with the express intention of creating a range of industry leading treatment and meditation CDs for the spa, holistic, wellbeing and beauty industries around the world.
The Science behind the Treatment Music
At Sacred Retreat we have recognised the therapeutic importance of the music played during a treatment and how the choice of this music can significantly improve the quality and the wellbeing benefits of the therapy enjoyed by clients.
Many CDs currently used for treatments consist of a compilation of tracks of music – each lasting six or seven minutes. A client can be disturbed seven or eight times during an hour long treatment - as the music moves from one different track to another. This potentially does not allow the client to experience the same depth of meditative state as can be achieved when using a single piece of music, which has been specifically paced and orchestrated to induce a deep sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.
At Sacred Retreat, we have therefore developed a range of “best practice” Spa and Wellbeing CDs. Each CD contains one track of music which creates a unique and consistent theme throughout the entirety of each treatment - so that the therapeutic and healing benefits of the treatment are therefore enhanced. Each CD is a full hour in length and can therefore be used by therapists for treatments scheduled for 30 minutes upwards.
